Was The Presidential Election A Joke?

Cailyn Barnes and I went out to ask a couple students about their opinions on the Presidential Election, and not too many were happy. The race was tough and had a lot of people running in and out of the election polls so that the right person will be elected as the person for the job. Some opinions were straight to the point about Donald Trump, and most comments were directed to him and his reasoning for running as a President.  Most students took him as a joke and didn't really understand why a business man was running to be the President of the United States.

From all the racial comments and negative activity, Donald Trump still won the election from the electoral college. As of January 2017, President Elect Donald Trump will be getting inaugurated into the white house as the President of the United States. He has already started to make plans about his future goals as far as being the new President of the United States.

Chestnut Pedestrian Bridge

Chestnut Street Pedestrian Bridge

South Carolina State University came back to school in August with a new surprise. The new Chestnut Street Pedestrian Bridge, that crosses from University housing Campus Corner and University Village to the tennis court on SC State Campus. SC State got their final $500,000 to finish the pedestrian bridge on Chestnut Street so that students can reach campus safely.

This project has been a part of South Carolina Department of Transportation for many years, construction was scheduled to begin this year and the workers has been working long hard hours to get the bridge done. The bridge will continue to make progress throughout the days.
